WMCLab’s expertise from recent projects like BIMERR and MERLON as well as the on-going project PANDORA*, was transformed last week into our own WMCLab openHAB IoT testbed. The testbed can support different wireless interfaces (z-Wave, ZigBee, WiFi, 4G-LTE, IR) and sensors (e.g. motion, temperature, luminance, humidity, vibration, UV, energy, switch) in an open architecture with the openHab platform.
This testbed will be further enhanced and adapted according to the needs of different R&I projects, starting with SYNERGIES where our work focuses on the open standards-based IoT connector of the SYNERGIES Data Space as well as the definition of IoT equipment and WSN topologies in the demo sites.
* PANDORA uses different EMF sensors on multiple platforms (static, moving, and flying) in the context of an independent observatory that targets EMF exposure, control and awareness (a key sustainable development goal from the 6G smart networks and services (6GSNS) Joint Undertaking).
